January 27-31, 2022
The Big Island of Hawaii awaits
A limited gathering of 12 attendees
I'm a wedding and elopement photographer in Indiana. But it wasn't always this way. I began my career in a very different place but never found the joy and freedom that being an entrepreneur has afforded me.
I've spent hundreds, if not thousands of hours, learning, refining, and growing my business. With an undergrad in education and a love for leadership and empowering others, The New Adventure Workshop was born.

Sunset beach & water
The northwest side of Big Island is home to million dollar views and million dollar beaches.
We'll spend some time in some epic view sunset beaches with two couples for an engagement and elopement look.
Toward the end of this shoot we'll be having our couples get into the water for some dreamy steamy intimate moments.
a water engagement & elopement
sunrise elopement & engagement
The Polulu Valley, on the northeast side of the Big Island is a magical and perfect place to spend a morning sunrise.
We will meet with two couples at the beach and will enjoy shoots in the ancient volcanic valley and through beautiful ironwood trees.
This styled shoot requires some hiking but we will work together to empower one another to be safe and to create beautiful memories.
an epic sunset in the South
Our final styled shoot will take place near the volcano, Kīlauea. Thankfully, we'll be avoiding live lava flows and will just be spending time on old and epic lava flows.
We'll also be spending time on a black sand beach with our couples as well.
This sunset styled shoot will feature an engagement and elopement couple.
Hawaii has strict COVID restrictions and requires a negative COVID test as of mid-2021 for arrival. This must be done 72 hour in advance of your departure. As the restrictions change, our attendees will be updated with the current Hawaiian requirements.
"What COVID precautions are you taking?"
No problem! During the booking process, we'll ask you to specify if you have dietary restrictions or needs. i.e. gluten intolerance, lactose, allergies, or lifestyle such as vegan, vegetarian, etc. We'll be offering both in-home cooked meals as well as catered options and will be sure to accommodate your needs.
"i have food allergies or dietary restrictions"
After we finish booking everyone, we'll be adding everyone to a private Facebook group & Instagram pod for attendees only. We can connect with one another and you can ride share to the AirBnB. It's about a $30-$40 ride from the Airport.
"how do i get to the airbnb?"
Our attendee contract states that any attendee with a positive test/cannot attend will be first in line for our next workshop or the following. If you are unable to attend any of them, you'll be reimbursed the fee minus your deposit. We'd obviously rather have you at our workshop so stay healthy!
"What if i have a positive COVID test/cannot attend?"
The Big Island in January has varying temperatures. Our AirBnB is located at a higher elevation and will be cooler than on the coast. Bringing cozy warm clothes for learning will be great. Most days we will be in warm temps but having a rain jacket and warm clothes will come in handy.
"what types of clothes will i need?"
We won't ask you for any funds while at the AirBnB. If you'd like to spend money on souvenirs, buy extra goodies, or anything else, you should bring some extra cash. We will have your food, drinks, and stay covered as well as all the fees, permits, and everything else. Is it nice to treat-yoself? Yes, so bring some cash if you'd like to do that.
"Will i need extra money?"
ABSOLUTELY! We want everyone to have a safe and inclusive space to be able to share, learn, and grow with one another. Our space is LGBTQ+ inclusive and friendly because we believe that love is love and that your gender and orientation are valid and valued.
"is the workshop inclusive and lgbtq+ friendly?"
Book your travel, join up with the private Facebook group for attendees, and coordinate travel between the airport and the AirBnB. We'll be there to greet you with hugs, fist bumps, and a cocktail.
Travel & Adventure
In addition to our education, you'll receive a 1 hour video chat with me. We'll go over your social media and website and talk about where you want to gear your business toward.
Schedule your chat
After we've reviewed the applications, we'll send emails out with our attendee contract and invoice. You can pay your deposit and the remainder will be due 45 days in advance of the workshop.
Pay the deposit
To ensure that our attendees are the right fit for our workshop, we're asking everyone to fill out a questionnaire about attendance..
"If I had gotten nothing else other than incredible portfolio content from The New Adventures Workshop, my investment would have been worth it.
However, what I got was so much more than just incredible photos. Nate, Felicia, and the New Adventures team went above and beyond creating one of the most welcoming, encouraging, positive, fun, and valuable experiences I could have imagined.
The educators were amazing, down to earth, and the information provided was immediately applicable to my business. Not to mention, the environment they created was super collaborative and allowed all of the attendees to share their experiences, ask vulnerable questions, and learn from one another that I’m not sure I would have been able to do at another workshop.
If you’re wondering whether you should make the jump and invest in yourself with The New Adventures Workshop, the short answer is yes. I can’t recommend it enough!"
