The Moses Fowler House Mansion was built in 1852 and was owned by the same family for over 150 years until Matt and Ann Jonkman came into possession of it. The mansion, for the past few years prior to the Jonkman’s ownership was under the care of the local historical society, which housed in it not only pieces original to the home but other beautiful and historic artifacts from near and far.
I can remember driviig by the Fowler House Mansion and seeing a “For Sale” sign in it’s very large and sloped yard on the corner on 9th and South Streets near downtown, Lafayette, Indiana. A few years back, my wife and I had talked about getting married there but unfortunately, by the time we were ready to be married, it was being historically renovated and updated to house what is now one of the absolute most breathtaking venues in many counties or even the state. From the original german architecture, the family photos of the Fowler family, to the more modernized and beautiful commercial kitchen that was added on into the basement of the home, The Fowler House Mansion is a place of remarkable of both historical and modern beauty.
The house is staffed with a professional and tight-knit group of employees that work as not only employees, but as curators of it. Each person’s role may differ in their job responsibilities, but they all work diligently to ensure that the house maintains its glory while also catering to the needs of all its guests.
While being a beautiful and historical mansion may be enough to draw in a crowd, it’s the local community of vendors and clients that make the house emanate warmth and wisdom.
In order to help the home continue it’s persevering stay in Lafayette, Indiana, Felicia Dale of Emerald Lotus Events, organized and implemented an entire marketing shoot to emphasis all of the house’s charms, beauties, and intricacies that present and future clients have access to for their wedding, commercial, and private event needs.
This styled shoot is comprised of donated florals, desserts, a wedding cake, a beautiful gown, bridal hair and makeup and catered food from Fowler House Kitchen, the mansion’s in-house caterer.
A special thanks to all of the vendors for all of your hard work. We could not have made this shoot possible with you. We appreciate and love you dearly for what you’ve done not only for the client’s of Fowler House Mansion to see but for the home itself and how it will continue to thrive and live on for our grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
