Evan and Kayla celebrated their farm chic wedding at Avon Wedding Barn in September of 2020. This wedding was the culmination of year’s planning, lots of love and support from family, and of course, the love these two share. This rustic Fall barn wedding in Indianapolis truly made my day because Evan was the best man at my wedding.
A brief history of my friendship with Evan. I first met Evan in elementary school, we became close in 6th grade, and were inseparable ever since. When Felicia and I were married in 2013 we were living in Carmel, Indiana at the time and being in close proximity to Evan, who was living there, we spent a lot of time together. He stood up at my wedding and my hope was one day he would, too, find the person he’d spend the rest of his life with. A few years later, Kayla arrived.
A Rustic Fall Barn Wedding in Indianapolis
Kayla and Evan are a perfect match due to their common love of video games, corny jokes, and a great work ethic. What further enhances their relationship is that where Evan lacks, Kayla is strong, and where Kayla lacks…well, let’s face it, she’s perfect. So Evan is a lucky fella!
Evan and Kayla celebrated their wedding at the beautiful Avon Wedding Barn in Avon, Indiana, just down the road from Indianapolis. The venue was decorated perfectly with lots of beautiful fall color florals, eclectic knick-knacks, and lots of beautiful lights.
Personality is such a strong part of a wedding and the lovely details both sides implemented throughout their day made this wedding uniquely theirs. Evan and his groomsmen were gifted Marvel and DC flasks (filled with bourbon). Evan’s favorite superhero, Spiderman, also a pet name he has carried for some time, was included on his wedding band in the form of the Spiderman logo. And finally, all of the fellas wore their superhero shirts underneath their suit shirts which was a fun moment.
Between the laughs, the inappropriate jokes, and the tender moments of an ancient handfasting ceremony, this couple celebrated their wedding exactly as they would have had it.
I appreciated seeing all these people come together, despite the pandemic, to support these two and I look forward to all of the future adventures they’ll share together.
A special thanks to all their vendors as well!
