Have you ever had the foresight to consider just looking around at something when it’s occurring and realize that you’re standing in a key moment and memory? That from this moment on, you’ll always look back at this time and think of it as ‘a good time.’ Georgia and Chris’s elegant wedding at The Ambassador House in Fishers was exactly one of those core memories I’ll cherish forever.
Chris and Georgia have been together for more than a handful of years and their relationship has gone from long distance to finally living together as husband and wife. Of course, that road has been filled with lots of jobs, lots of schooling, and lots of late night texts, calls, and video chats between these two.
And finally, finally, finally, after Chris and Georgia settled into their adult lives together, Chris finished his PhD, these two felt it was right to move forward.
Their perfectly fall engagement took place up in Acadia National Park in Maine in October 2021. And y’all, you need to see the images from this gorgeous shoot. Maine in the Fall awoke the truly inner-white girl inside of me and I felt like I was some sweet 20 something again in a Hallmark film as I drove through the winding roads with the beautiful changing leaves and trees.

But this is about Chris and Georgia’s wedding. So let’s fast forward just about a year and in September 2022, these two were married and hosted a perfectly elegant wedding day at the Historic Ambassador House and Heritage Gardens in Fishers.
Having friends and family attend a wedding is always a treat and an honor. Georgia and Chris had family and friends attend their wedding not just from local spaces but also from out of state, up the east coast and out west too. And it just made their gathering that much sweeter.
A few moments that stood out to me during their wedding day as truly core memory material was the way that Georgia fit into her dress. It was like the dress she chose had been exclusively picked out of the stars just for her.
Her first look with her dad. First looks with parents is becoming a trend that I am here for because it gives the couple more moments to have with their loved ones in private. When Georgia and her dad had their first look, it was hard to photograph because of just how joyful it was and the tears welling up in my eyes.
The kindness of these two.
Georgia and Chris are very kind, laid back folks. They’re the kind of people you want at a party because you know they’re going to have a good time but they’re also responsible, a trait that I appreciate more and more in my older age. Georgia and Chris’ approach with all their guests and wedding party members was the most chill and welcoming. It seemed like they made time for each guest on their wedding day to make them feel special but still allowing them the time to have a moment to themselves as well.
The day was absolutely dreamy. The weather was in the low 70s and there wasn’t the awful humidity we experience in the summer’s in Indiana. It was perfect and only made even better by how beautiful and elegant a backdrop the Historic Ambassador House is in Fishers for their wedding.
I could go on and on about how delicious the food was–how heartfelt the speeches were given by their people of honor, or how tender the moments were in their first dances. But instead, I’ll just let you enjoy this beautiful wedding day as it was captured.
Thank you, Georgia and Chris. I know your future will hold nothing but happiness, joy, and a whole lot of beautiful new adventures to come!
A special thanks to these wonderful vendors who made life even sweeter for these two.
