Attending a wedding is one of the greatest honors that I think came about as adults. We are requested to witness two people come together and join their love. Afterward, you eat, imbibe, and dance with this amazing couple that you hold dear and near and before you know it, the evening is over and everyone is going home.
In order to have a quality wedding day, I believe that there are many factors that play into its success. Many of those roles are played by professional vendors who help make you feel comfortable, create excellent timelines, and who help manage expectations of others and keep people in their places. During my consultations with brides, I always ask them what is most important to them during their wedding day. Along with photos to remember the day, they usually tell me that they want their friends and family to have a good time. Throwing what may be the largest “party” that you may ever personally host, I think it’s a safe assumption to say that music plays a huge part in that.
That is why I recommend, always, a quality DJ. If you’re thinking about trying to save money, do it somewhere else than your DJ. It’s not just about playing music from a Spotify playlist. It’s about volume levels, it’s about grandma being able to hear the speeches when someone is using a microphone, it’s about being able to keep the focus on the bride and groom and to keep the wedding party flowing throughout the evening. Imagine a wedding where the timeline runs over, no one dances, and everyone leaves early because they’re bored. Now imagine the opposite when I tell you about my good friend, David Shuck of Audio Inferno LLC.
Audio Inferno was founded over a decade ago when David began DJing local parties for friends. Over the last 10+ years, David has dedicated his time, patience, and passion to understanding the nuances of professional DJing and being a quality MC for the evening. I have had the pleasure of working many different weddings with David and he always comes highly recommended by me to my clients. A native of Logansport, David travels to Indianapolis, Lafayette, Kokomo, and almost every area you can imagine within Central and North Central Indiana. Along with always being one of the best dressed DJs in the business, usually sporting a tuxedo or tailored suit, he is kind and he listens. I have never worked a wedding where he comes unprepared. I’ve never seen him have to stop a bride and groom and ask questions because the work wasn’t done before the wedding. He comes in, greets everyone, and serves his clients with his heart and with his dope beats.
The weddings I have worked with David have always had dance floors filled with everyone enjoying and celebrating.
Along with being a professional and full-time DJ, he also offers wedding officiation services and can not only set up quality sound for your wedding ceremony, but can always marry you too. I watched this year as David married two of my dear friends and clients, Spencer and Jen, at the Neidhammer in Indianapolis. Working alongside my wife, Felicia, owner of Emerald Lotus Events, the Neidhammer staff, and other wedding vendors, he not only ensured that Spencer and Jen walked out as husband and wife, but that they did so with beautiful memories through an excellent ceremony.
A few months back I met with David over lunch to talk about work and our careers as full time wedding vendors. It is so clear that his love extends beyond the music and to the clients. He wants to make sure that every last detail is perfectly curated so that the times to come and beyond, are seen and remembered fondly and enthusiastically.
Along with DJ services, in his spare time, David enjoys riding motorcycles around the state and venturing to new places. He is an avid fan of fitness and on his Instagram account, you can follow along with some of his workouts.
If you’re planning a 2019, 2020, or even 2021 wedding, drop David an email through his site. Read some of the reviews that he has and meet up with him for a coffee or a beer. You’ll find that his attention to detail and service based attitude are just what you’re looking for in a wedding DJ.
Thanks, David, for spending some quality time this summer. I look forward to all of the great weddings we get to work together in the future!
