Kathryn and Nick – A Rural Country Wedding – The Palomino Ballroom in Zionsville, Indiana

They say that rain on your wedding day is good luck. My wife and I can both attest to that since it rained on our wedding day. Nick and Kathryn had a full day of showers on their most special day but that did not take away from the beauty, the love, and the fun that this couple and their dearest friends and family had while at their wedding in late April.

Nick and Kathryn are working professionals in the Indianapolis area. Nick is an entrepreneur, a carpenter, and all around excellent man. Kathryn has a big heart and works with individuals as a speech pathologist. As I grew to know these two more and to witness all the love they share, it is clear to me that this couple doesn’t need luck in order to have a happy and successful marriage.

Kathryn and Nick started their day at a country church north of Indianapolis. The church was familiar like many rural small churches and was decorated with lilies, roses, and plenty of beautiful flowers. The reason that they chose this specific church was because Nick’s parents were married there 50 years prior and to be able to see their son married at the same spot that they too promised their lives together was so special.

Calling in friends and family from Florida to California, this couple celebrated in absolute style and class and after the ceremony we ventured out into the rainy weather to capture and make memories with these two. The rain didn’t seem to both them and they were champions on the wet ground. While the weather in Indiana is unpredictable, weddings are always a cozy and warm affair. So despite the chilly wind that gusted around us, these two kept nice and warm while they and their friends made fun new memories out on the grounds at their reception at the Palomino Ballroom.

Between the always busy dance floor, the most delicious cake filled with bavarian cream, and some very heartfelt toasts, these two had it all. I couldn’t be more pleased to spend the day with new friends, helping them to forge new memories and providing something that they’ll get to cherish forever!

Thank you so much, Kathryn and Nick for trusting me and allowing me to curate your day. I wish you both so much happiness and love and look forward to our anniversary session next year!
