Ashley and Theo’s love story
Theo and Ashley met in college at a party. Instead of the normal dancing and collegiate frivolity, they just spent the entire evening talking in his room. They spent two years between Chicago and Kentucky, dating long distance–most times travelling nearly 6 hours one way each weekend just to see one another.
After college, these two moved to Kentucky to further their education and begin careers there. Later on, Theo proposed they began planning their wedding. Since the pandemic occurred, Theo and Ashley had to reschedule their wedding three different times. But as the old saying goes, ‘third times a charm!’
How we all came to meet
Ashley was directed to me through a mutual friend, who worked with the owner, Ryan to get local vendor recommendations. I was so excited when Ashley reached out and got to speak with her on the phone shortly after she inquired.
Working with Ashley and Theo in such a short period of time has been wonderful and I wouldn’t trade any of these brief moments. They were amazing clients and I am so grateful and happy for them.
Their wedding day!
With the quarantine finally beginning to relax, their wedding day, May 24, signified that gatherings can now have up to 100 people present. It’s a good thing too because there were every bit of 100 people in attendance to celebrate this love story. Some travelling from as far as Texas, Nashville, Tennessee, and many other far distances.
The ladies began their date at Fair Oaks Farm bridal suites for prep, hair, and makeup. Afterward, they made their way to the Embers Venue in Rensselaer, Indiana to get dressed.
After getting into her dress, we took the separate families to a park just across the street and captured so many fun moments with them. I was sure to get them back to the venue quickly, however, because of how toasty outside it was. Thankfully, no one melted away and we were on our way.
They had the perfect ceremony!
The ceremony was the perfect time, short and sweet and the long cocktail hour that followed it allowed the couple and their wedding party to visit with guests. They had a grand entrance and went right into their first dance and cake cutting and the rest of the evening transitioned from dinner, speeches, to an open dance floor with lots of excellent tunes and some fun line dances.
Ashley and Theo worked so hard on their wedding day and despite having to reschedule it three different times, they overcame this hardship to come together and celebrate. With the help of their vendors and their amazing family, this intimate wedding at Embers Venue in Rensselaer, Indiana was the perfect way to help usher in summer and the end of quarantine.
Congratulations, Ashley and Theo! Thank you for trusting me on your wedding day and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and adventure!
