Indianapolis Arts Garden Wedding

indianapolis arts garden wedding

There are a handful of places within Indiana that, as a photographer, I’ve always dreamt of photographing at. Whether it’s something with aesthetics, light, or just the location and renown, certain spaces just resonate with photographers. After spending the last few years together, traveling the world, starting new careers, and even adventuring to California for an epic costal engagement with me, these two are finally married. And when they told me where they were getting married, I could have just burst with joy. It was one of those places that I’d dreamt of working in for years. Please enjoy this beautiful Indianapolis Arts Garden Wedding, a true dream come true for all of us.

Getting engaged and navigating shutdowns and pandemic COVID restrictions is challenging. I really tip my hat to all my wedding clients that held on to their love through the pandemic and the hardships it brought forth. But, like the Bible says, when your tried like silver, the dross (the excess metals that aren’t valuable) floats to the surface only strengthening and making the silver better. It holds true for couples who navigated this time in our tenure on earth as well.

Christina and Dustin were engaged in 2020 and after being invited by me, agreed to a beautiful Big Sur engagement session which you can view here. The late fall of 2021 was their original wedding date. However, with life, changes in careers and circumstances, and the overall evolution of things, they postponed a year.

Regardless of when you get married, the whole point is that you have ample time, can minimize your stress levels, and have the actual wedding of your dreams without stretching yourself too thin.

Christina and Dustin did that with their Indianapolis Arts Garden Wedding.

From the beautiful bouquets that they hand assembled to the excellent catered food, this was how many photographers would dream of ending the year. From their first and very emotional first look together to Christina’s mom and she spending time together after a battle in the hospital, it felt like a fairytale dream wedding coming true.

And to be honest, it absolutely is.

Both Christina and Dustin are from kind, hardworking, and local families. Their success and love toward one another is nothing but a tribute to their upbringings and those that reared them. And, joined together in their Indianapolis Arts Garden Wedding, these two honored those they love and each other with the most beautiful vows and tender moments all throughout the day.

Even after the tender moments there was still room and energy to bring forth an entire group of well-dressed individuals at this Indianapolis Arts Garden wedding to the dance floor.

This is probably the first wedding where I observed a DJ ‘death-drop’ on the dance floor and keep the music bumping.

After the wedding, Felicia, my wife, and I joined this wonderful couple on the dance floor for the next few hours, celebrating with them and toasting to their good health and a long, happy, and prosperous marriage.

Thank you Christina and Dustin for believing and trusting Megan and I to capture your day.

We love you both so much and wish you all the best in the coming years with all your new adventures!
