Imagine a world where, like Hannah Montana, you get the best of both worlds. A loving family and close friends attending your intimate wedding ceremony and also the most beautiful elopement honeymoon. Well, Ellen and Dan did just this! They got married in an intimate backyard ceremony and then flew out for St. Lucia honeymoon elopement portraits.
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Dan and Ellen for some years. After working with Ellen in my last job prior to going full time, I was so honored to be chosen to photograph their wedding. When they shared that they were also considering going on a honeymoon somewhere beautiful, I suggested St. Lucia and offered my services for St. Lucia honeymoon elopement portraits.
What exactly are honeymoon elopement portraits?
Well, it’s something I termed up that I thought would make the Google overlords happy so others would see this blog. But it’s also when you get married and bring your wedding clothes to your honeymoon and have portraits taken in that place with your beautiful wedding clothes.
Think about this.
How much is a wedding dress?
It can range, right? A couple hundred dollars to tens of thousands of dollars. And how many times do you wear it? Realistically? Maybe twice.
And then what? Did you plan on saving it for a future daughter? Were you going to sell it? Whatever your choice is, I respect it. But what if you could get another fit into it before you decide to ship it off for cleaning or to sell it? Wouldn’t it be dreamy to live the destination elopement life but without having to sacrifice having a wedding where more of your local loved ones can attend?
St. Lucia Honeymoon Elopement Portraits
A St. Lucia honeymoon elopement portrait session is the perfect option for you. And if you’re not into St. Lucia because you don’t like driving on the other side of the car, there are one thousand other location options for you to choose from as well.
But Ellen and Dan chose St. Lucia and I recommended that they stay at the Sandals resort. Specifically the Sandals Grande St. Lucian resort on the northwest side of the island. This resort boasts beautiful grounds and is located just moments away from a St. Lucian National Park.
Did I mention that it’s literally built on it’s OWN PENINSULA?!
It’s also farther away from the capital of St. Lucia, Castries, which is a lot busier than the northwest part of the island. The opportunities, the privacy, and the amenities of this Sandals resort were perfect for these two who I know to be absolute homebody babes.
So, now you know that two things exist. St. Lucia honeymoon elopement portraits and that YOU CAN ABSOLUTELY DO IT. If you need help, just reach out.
