Kayla & James Magical Las Vegas Engagement

Have you ever loved someone so much that you just want to travel the world with them? Well, James and Kayla are just like that! Small town people with big hearts and even bigger eyes for one another recently traveled out to Las Vegas, Nevada, to celebrate their engagement with me!

Having clients that trust me enough to not only pitch them on weddings but also on a travel engagement are really what my dreams are made of. Of course, this blog isn’t about me. It’s about two people who met just a few years back and fell in love.

Kayla and James met with me at my favorite spot in West Lafayette, The Pint, to discuss details about their engagement and wedding right before COVID. It was wonderful to see Kayla again because we had gone to school together and even shared a class or two in the past. Now, she’s teaching at that same school in the 4th grade and James is a full time farmer with nearly 8000 hogs plus land.

If you’ve ever had the chance to visit Indiana you know that it can be charming. There are lots of beautiful hidden gems but sometimes it can get a little stale. During our meeting, after they had decided to move forward with my services, I asked them if they would be interested in travelling to Las Vegas to have their engagement portraits taken. I think it was a bit of a surprise to them to hear that they could have their portraits taken somewhere outside of Indiana, but they both agreed and we set a date for it.

Thankfully, the restrictions for the virus began lifting awhile back so we were all able to travel out west and to capture this beautiful love story. First beginning at the Caesar’s Hotel, where they spent their week at, and also out at Seven Magic Mountains and a dry lake bed just outside the city.

To say the their engagement session was magical, certainly is underplaying just how beautiful it was.

If you’ve never been to the desert, do yourself favor and book a ticket with Southwest or Allegiant and fly out there soon. It’s amazing. The sunsets were like nothing we’ve ever seen here and these two made it all the more beautiful with their adventuresome spirits and love.

An Epic Las Vegas Engagement

Kayla and James may have had a little bit of a rough time getting to Vegas due to missing a flight, but they made the best of it by renting a car and booking it out west the following day. Then, the day before my wife and I were scheduled to leave, we took them out to these beautiful spots and commemorated this experience with photos they’ll get to have forever.

Thank you, Kayla and James for being so wonderful. I had the best time with you both and I cannot wait to see you again soon.

Cheers and Love!
